Chinese Shar-Pei Pedigree Database

THE CHINESE SHAR-PEI DATABASE

The Chinese Shar-Pei Pedigree Database is a not for profit pedigree research tool which allows breeders and fanciers the opportunity to study lines and learn about breeding programs - past and present. The foundation of this database for the USA pedigrees are the original sources of CSPCA Stud Books 1-5 (more to be added as they are donated) and CSPCA Book of Champions. In addition, Chinese Shar Pei Champions 1999 - 2000, 2001 - 2005 (Camino Books Inc.) along with pedigrees donated by private individuals.

The Database is moderated by its own firewall. To maintain the integrity of the system, monitoring of its usage is adhered to and any individual who attempts to download hundreds of pedigrees will loose their access to the database. The content of the Chinese Shar-Pei Pedigree Database is not to be used for profit nor republishing in any other format. Please credit sbmprodos.org when using information from this database.

	Select the number of generations you will want displayed in the pedigree. For most computer printers printing in Landscape mode, 5 generations is the best choice.
	Enter the name, or partial name of the Chinese Shar-Pei to search for. If you use slow search, entering "China" will find all Chinese Shar-Pei whose names contain the letters "China", including all those containing "China" or "Chinadoll". Slow search is more thorough and accurate. If you use fast search, you must provide a full word (not a partial word) for matches to show up; for example, entering "China" will find all Chinese Shar-Pei whose names contain the word "China" but would not find those whose names contain "China" or "Chinadoll". For more successful searches, please use a word longer than 3 letters and omit any 's at the end.
	Select which database to use: The Chinese Shar-Pei database will be updated with further input as pedigrees are received. Photos will be added in the future.
	Perform fast search by full word. Perform slow search by partial word, full word, or multiple words. The slow search will extract a greater number of pedigrees. Click on the "Search Now" button below. This will begin the search. The database is quite large, so do not be alarmed if it takes a minute to see the list of matches.

Please note: In Spring 2003, the American Kennel Club issued that Parent Clubs would hold the Stud Books for the Breed. Adhering to that mandate, any pedigrees entered in the Chinese Shar-Pei Pedigree Database after Spring 2003 have been obtained according to the AKC protocol or directly from their owners, catalogues, breed statistians or located via public online (not copyright) sites. sbmprodos.org thanks Gayle Gold Creasman for use of CSPCA Stud Books Volumes 1-5.

Web harvester robots or other methods of copying the files from this database for commercial purposes is prohibited. All of the information within the database has been confirmed as thoroughly as possible through registries, books, club records, and personal breeding program files that have been donated for this express purpose.
